The food here is amazing! Very authentic Mexican. I had the Steak Fajitas Nachos & hubby had the Burrito de la Casa. Both were very good & both provided plenty of leftovers! The house margarita was delicious as well. Will definitely go again!

TERRIBLE SERVICE. TERRIBLE FOOD. If you want a nice dining experience - this is NOT the place.

We waited for someone to seat us for over 5 minutes. Wait staff saw we were waiting but didn't even try to help us. Got to our table and the wait staff was rude. They didn't want to help us at all. Our waiter was a man with dark hair and blonde highlights. My mom and I did our best to be polite even though everyone was rude. Got our bill after our waiter walked by our table 5 times. When he gave my mom her change she wished him a good day and he completely ignored her. Got upset and went and said something to the waiter and the manager just rushed me out of the restaurant instead of really hearing what I was trying to say.

The Service was good.  No complaints with wait staff.  Our drinks were refilled and chips were warm while always served with fresh salsa.

I ordered taco, chimichanga and enchilada.  All beef.  My wife ordered 2 tacos, beef, and 1 chicken enchilada.

Our food was hot and we didn't wait long.  That was a plus.  But that is where all the positive points end.

The meat, whether beef or chicken, tasted bland.  Unseasoned, and seemingly boiled.  The meat was dripping with water.  Not sauce, nor seasoning, just plain water.  I have never been to a Mexican restaurant where the food could only be helped with salsa.

The sauce for the enchiladas tasted as though it came from spagetti-o's.

Taco Bell tastes better than the food this Establishment chooses to serve.

Stick to Robbie's, or TC Tacoria, or any of the  trucks found throuout the area of traverse City.

Agave express in Interlochen has better food and more options.

For a restaurant with the ambition to have a mall location, I and the people of traverse City expect better.  The guy at the hot dog place, house of dogs, in the mall  can make better Mexican food.  I've tried some from him (not on the menu) and was impressed with the level of flavor he could make with a simple taco.  The guy from house of dogs needs to open his own Mexican restaurant and take over the agave location in the mall.

As it stands, Agave in the mall, with so many good restaurants that have came and went, will have trouble making any profit or staying open for longer than a year with the current food they are serving.

I will give this place a month to turn things around.  If nothing changes, they will get another scathing review and reccomendation for their business to close.

The food here was hot and very tasty. Their chips came out warm, and the salsa had just enough heat to it. The restaurant and restrooms were spotless, and service was great. The margaritas were yummy. The restaurant had a more modern feel to it and was very relaxing. If you are looking for a good mexican dinner, you have to try this place.

The service is absolutely terrible. There were three of us sitting at a table and wait for 10 minutes still didn't get waited on so we moved to the bar. We asked for some queso, it came out cold. We told the bartender it was cold and she said 'I don't know why they sent it out cold, it didn't feel very warm to me either' so we sent it back only to watch one of the waiters stick his finger into the queso, and then stick his finger into his mouth. The bartender brought the *same* queso back to us after they reheated it in the Microwave. Between having to wait 10 minutes to hopefully get service, the queso situation and overall unfriendliness of the staff, I do not recommend this restaurant at all.
